Job Responsibilities:
The Corporate Controllers group has an opportunity for an Accounting Manager. Specific responsibilities are as follows:

•Key contributor in the review, consolidation and preparation process of UTC's financial statements

•Assume principle responsibility for the review and analysis of key elements of the Corporation's quarterly financial results, the preparation of the quarterly Form 10-Q and annual Form 10-K filings, and UTC quarterly earnings release

•Key contributor in the preparation of UTC's Annual Report

•Work with Business Unit Financial Reporting Departments to ensure efficient and timely quarterly closes, and to support process improvement initiatives during off-quarter months

•Participate in UTC's XBRL filing process

•Ensure timely and accurate filing of other governmental and regulatory reports, through coordination with UTC Business Units and supervision of UTC Finance associates

•Work with Corporate COE to support HFM, Longview Restructuring application, and Longview "E Collect" financial reporting systems used in Consolidations Reporting process, and for other financial reporting requirements

•Play a key role in continuing to support the team in maintaining ACE Gold Status within UTC Corporate Controller's organization through continuous improvement of existing and new processes

•Support Sarbanes Oxley 404 compliance objectives

•Provide guidance and other assistance to UTC Business Units in control assessments, technical accounting research, and support on special projects, as required
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum seven years of relevant experience with a knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Knowledge of SEC requirements a plus. Public accounting experience preferred but not required.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Ability to work effectively as part of a high performing team.
