Job Description
Job Title: MFG Engineer- Fireworks & Cisco
Department: Quality
Reports To: Quality Manager
FLSA Status: Hourly

SUMMARY: Support the production of Fireworks, Cisco and other "Make-to-Order" products in order to improve quality, assembly flow, on time delivery, and reduce labor content of product.
  • Assist with various processes involved in manufacturing electronic components - i.e. product design, sourcing, BOM, workplace layout, process design, labor assignment, cost allocation, etc.
  • Suggest opportunities for efficiency, cost, or process improvements and implement approved proposals.
  • Develop the ability to quantify costs to the business, analyze various data and develop solutions to remediate gaps within the process.
  • Work with engineering on new design implementation in Fireworks products
  • Interaction with customer service on order inquiry and/or issues
  • Develop Standard Work Instructions to minimize risks and enhance the quality of the product
  • Customize PC reports and reporting formats to show improvement data and trends
  • Monitor quality issues and efficiency in order to work with teams to continuously improve the assembly operations
  • Assist the team in evaluating defect data and determining/executing action plan to resolve these issues
  • Safety and housekeeping: All employees are required to comply with all applicable Environmental, Health and Safety regulations, internal SRA's, site-and any job-specific safe working procedures. All employees are required to report any workplace hazards, any incidents ((including near-miss incidents, first-aid cases, work-related injuries and/or illnesses) and are encouraged to participate as members of EHS action teams.
  • Support and drive continuous improvement by participating in lean activities and the ACE management system

  • Fluent English needed to understand/update/create manufacturing process documentation
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, PDXpert, and JDE.
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external customers to understand needs and arrive and beneficial solutions
  • Highly Organized
  • Understand and apply lean manufacturing principles
  • Analyze data to determine most efficient manufacturing process/methods and communicate those to others
  • Minimum Associates degree (AA) or technical certificate required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
