Otis Service Center is seeking a software engineer. The candidate will be responsible for implementing contract software features in embedded software for elevator control systems and for implementing software change requests in high-level C language. The position will develop and execute unit integration tests. The individual will also document test procedures, test results, software requirements and design implementation details. The selected candidate will also be responsible for regression testing for the support of software releases. The candidate will perform configuration control and change management of contract software and troubleshoot field issues while providing appropriate software solutions.
Education:
B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering is required.
Experience/Qualifications:
Candidate should have 2-4 years of relevant experience. Will accept an early career recent graduate.
The candidate must have strong analytical and debugging skills and strong written and verbal communications skills. Also, the candidate should have software design and development experience preferably using a high level language such as C to develop embedded system applications. Experience with printed circuit board components related to embedded software, such as microcontrollers, memory devices and access, I/O chips, and interrupts is desirable. Experience with various communications protocol (RS232, RS422, CAN, SCI, SPI) is preferred.
